Chain Drive Pusher
Background:
A chain drive pusher is used to displace heavy loads with the help of a drive chain or transmission chain, passing over a sprocket gear, with the teeth of the gear meshing with the holes in the links of the chain. This project involved designing over 100 components and subassemblies of this chain drive pusher to displace high-load ceramic containers in the manufacturing units in New Delhi, India.
Software and Design:
3D modeling of all subassemblies was done using Solidworks, and drafting was done using AutoCAD and Solidworks to rectify and analyze failure point dimensions.
Drafting for BOM was done over Autodesk Inventor.
